Inspired by Jens’ composition “Pegasus”. Melanie Rodel is an internationally awarded and recognized artist with profound experience in body painting and special effects.

Her passions include painting, photography, art, airbrush painting, and creating costumes and decorations.

Very early she discovered her passion and enthusiasm for painting.

After first wall paintings in the children's room - and on other walls - her mother realized that Melanie was destined for bigger things and gave her paper and canvases.

Also the first attempts at make-up were supported benevolently.

In the Guggemusig (Swiss carnival orchestra) she found thankful faces in which she could live out her passion.

Melanie spent several years abroad. During this time she lived, worked and traveled in over 500 cities in 19 countries and 6 continents.

In 2002 she returned to her home country. 2008 she opened her studio in Köniz.

Melanie took participated in many national, European and international competitions.

She was awarded several renowned prizes and gained media attention far beyond Bern.

2011 she has won the world champion in special effects @the Worldbodypainting Festival Pörtschach and

2013 Swiss Champion @the Swiss Bodypainting - Art Festival-Lugano

Despite the temptation to be only artistically active, Melanie works as a service manager in a Bern advertising agency.
